Frank Ing

Dr. Ing has been involved with numerous national and international cardiology societies and scientific conferences over his 28 year career including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), and Pediatric Interventional Cardiology Symposium Society (PICS Society). He has also served in various leadership roles and faculty in these societies. He is currently on the Board of Trustees for the PICS Society and one of the Associate Editors for the Journal of the Society of Cardiovascular Interventions (JSCAI).

Dr. Ing’s clinical and research interests are primarily in the development of transcatheter techniques and cardiovascular devices to treat congenital/structural heart disease from the fetus to the elderly.  In addition to clinical trials and outcome studies, he has conducted large animal studies and collaborated with industry in studies related to devices and therapeutic catheterizations.

Dr. Ing has trained numerous pediatric cardiology fellows and over 28 advanced pediatric interventional fellows over his career.  To date, he has authored or co-authored 106 peer reviewed manuscripts, 12 book chapters and 120 scientific abstracts.  While providing ongoing career mentoring to medical students, residents and fellows each year, he has also hosted numerous national and international visiting professorships and enjoys the collegial and collaborative environment of the pediatric interventional community.
